The hugely popular Omelette Challenge is back again this year in the Cookery Theatre of the Why Farming Matters in Kent area. Based on the favourite competition on the hugely popular TV programme, Saturday Morning Kitchen, the challenge will consist of individual and team events with prizes awarded to the fastest omelettes of the day, the most entertaining teams, and a wooden spoon award for the slowest!

The prizes will be awarded by Matthew Kearsey-Lawson and Steve Wood. Steve Wood is on the board of directors at the Kent Farmers’ Market Association. He also runs 3 award winning  farmers markets across Kent: Elm Court farmers market which takes place on the first Sunday of the month, Tonbridge farmers market on the 2nd Sunday of the month & Aylesford farmers market on the third Sunday of the month. As well as running farmers’ markets he also has his own established chilli business, selling exciting quality products like chilli jams and sauces.

Matthew is the mastermind and owner of multi-award winning, Kent Fine Foods.  Known for his witty presentations at some of Kent Farmer’s Markets and his regular spots on BBC Radio Kent. Kent Fine Foods produce exceptional high end foods including chutneys, jellies, preserves, relishes, sauces & marmalades.

The prizes which have kindly been donated by Matthew and Steve will be awarded on Saturday and Sunday of the Show.
