The National Cherry & Soft Fruit Show takes place at the Kent County Show each year. The UK’s best fruit arrives for an intense judging session to find the best of the best. This year the winning entry has been sent up to London for the Royal family to enjoy.
The biggest winners on the day were;
J.Myatt who was awarded a Fruiterers’ Company Medal for the ‘Most Meritorious exhibit of Cherries’ in the ‘Any White Variety’ class.
Pershore Juneberries were awarded a Fruiterers’ Company Medal for the ‘Most Meritorious exhibit of Soft Fruit’ for their punnets of Raspberries.
F.W Mansfield won The St Micheal Cup for combining ‘outstanding flavour and appearance’ with their entry of Kordia.
F.W Mansfield also won the Sittingbourne, Faversham and District Growers Association Cup for the Champion Basket of Cherries in the Show.
And Kelsey Farms won the Mack Organisation Award for the Best Exhibit of Strawberries with their entry of Everbearer strawberries.
