As visitors browse the intriguing vintage, antique and upcycled items in the John Hendry Pavilion they may also be surprised and entertained by a number of exciting acts presented by Old School Events, organisers of the Antique and Vintage Village.
One of the highlights over the three days will be an appearance by Gary and Simon, known on stage as Jake and Elwood Blues, frontmen of the 12-piece band Blues Brothers Little Brother. Formed in 2007, the band has performed at hundreds of parties, weddings, corporate functions, fundraising events and festivals up and down the country. Paying tribute to one of the best-known and most popular acts in the world, the duo combines a compelling stage show with great music that is ideal to dance or sing along to.
Hanna Rose is an accomplished singer who was the featured vocalist with The Glenn Miller Orchestra during the 1980s, performing all over Europe in the most prestigious concert halls and theatres. Hanna now performs at functions across the country and gives private and group singing lessons. She is also the founder of Voiceful, a wonderful choir based in and around Maidstone. Drop by to hear her sing some of the great classics. The area will also host some fabulous swing dancers performing a selection of swing and lindyhop dances; and Marden-based singer, guitarist and composer Andy Wilkinson will entertain the crowds with a selection of old favourites.
DJ Retro Revell will play vintage swing music and encourage the crowds to join in and dance. Not to be missed is Helen Barton of Big Swifty, who will sing a solo set of swing and gypsy jazz favourites. Completing the theme, The Land Girls dancers will perform a number of shows over the weekend both inside and outside the Antique and Vintage Village.
Performance times will be available via social media and we will keep you up-to-date each day.
