The Kent County Show on the 6, 7, 8 July 2018 will be hosting the spectacular Household Cavalry Musical Ride for this year’s main ring attraction.

Chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society, Kevin Attwood, said “We are delighted to have the Household Cavalry displaying at the Kent County Show in 2018. This will be our 89th Show and we work hard to showcase the very best that Kent has to offer. Likewise, the Household Cavalry Musical Ride is one of the best mounted displays in Britain, if not the world, and the Regiment has a reputation for excellence. We are sure their display will delight and entertain our visitors on all three days of the Show.”

The Household Cavalry are steeped in tradition and will perform at the Kent County Show dressed in full state ceremonial uniforms. The performance will demonstrate the Regiment’s precise battlefield and ceremonial manoeuvres all carried out to music. Riders will train for this display at least a month in advance and will have completed a five month riding course. The display at the Kent County Show will demonstrate the rigorous training, precision and excellence of the world’s only combat serving mounted ceremonial soldiers.

There is a large cast of other attractions featuring at the 2018 Kent County Show including a flypast from the ‘Spirit of Kent’ Spitfire, pig racing and entertainment from a pair of Hedge Men. Titan the Robot will also be returning for the Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets to see the Household Cavalry in action at the Kent County Show will be available from Friday 1 December 2017 and is included in general admission. For more information on the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, visit their website here:
