Hadlow College, Betteshangar Park and Hadlow Rural Community School will be at various locations around the Show to highlight the incredible work of their students. Hadlow Group who also encompass Ashford and West Kent College’s have been the Principal Sponsor for the Kent County Show for a number of years. The students and staff work hard all year to ensure that they really showcase the incredible standards and variety of the courses at the Colleges.
Visitors will be able to visit them at the Show and take part in a number of interactive activities, watch demonstrations and cheer them on in competitions.
Their large marquee in the Agriculture area will feature a lambing simulator which is used by the College to help students learn the techniques required to provide skilled assistance during lambing. Visitors to the marquee can also have a go at milking their life-sized model cow, Daisy. Younger visitors can try a lucky dip and meet Davina, the Equine Departments life-sized model horse. There will be paper pot making and seed pencil planting with their Princess Christians’ Farm staff. Older children and adults can try their hand at archery at the Betteshanger Park stand.
