The Food and Farming area at the Kent County Show is the best place to learn about where your food comes from and how it is made. Find out how bread is made and have a go at making your own. Jump on one of our bikes and peddle yourself a refreshing smoothie made from Kentish fruit and have a go at milking a cow. Discover the journey your food makes from the field where it grows to your dinner plate.
Kent is Delicious Cooking Competition
The Food and Farming area will once again be hosting the finals of the Kent is Delicious cooking competition organised by the Diocese of Canterbury. Open to all primary school aged children, the Kent is Delicious cooking competition encourages young children to find out more about where their food comes from. Competitors will prepare a dish using as many locally grown, produced, and sourced ingredients as possible. Prepare to tell your captive audience about how you developed your recipe, what you found out about local ingredients and the producers you met along the way.
