Bringing the countryside and farming to life for primary school children.
This is a free opportunity for schools, with a talk from one of our knowledgeable volunteer speakers covering a broad range of farming related topics including crops, buildings, livestock and wildlife.
Aims of the project
To bring the countryside and farming to life for the children in schools.
To cover a broad range of food and farming related topics relevant to Key Stage 1 and 2
To deliver a structured, balanced presentation of modern day farming
To draw on our speakers’ personal experience and knowledge of farm life
To promote the Living Land event and the charitable work of KCAS

Maureen has over 30 years experience within the Women’s Food and Farming Union and has been visiting primary schools in Kent for a number of years to talk about life on a farm and where food actually comes from.
