Kent Scouts are proud to be partnering the Kent Messenger on their stand at the Show for the third year running.  Visitors will get the chance to go underground in a mobile caving unit.  Intrepid explorers enter the tunnels and with some twists and turns find their way to the exit via a slide!  Their team of face painters will also be on hand using their artistic flair!

In addition Kent Scouts will also be in Murrain Wood with a whole host of activities including a mobile rock climbing wall which will see young people climb up to a height of 7.5 metres.  Visitors also get the chance to climb a tree – not the usual way but using ropes and pulleys – it’s called prusiking.  So pop along and get close to nature in the woods!

Scouting is innovative and Kent Scouts will be challenging young people and visitors to have a go on the Olympic kayak slalom course – you won’t get wet – as it uses the latest in green screen technology.

On both stands you can find out about how you can get involved in the world wide Scouting movement with over 30 million members world-wide and almost 20,000 in Kent. Visit their stand in Murrain Wood and see Kent Scouts in action or pop along to the Kent Messenger stand and have some fun!
