Information For Schools
Kent County Show 2010, 16th, 17th & 18th July
We would like to extend a warm welcome to any School that would like to attend the Kent County Show in 2010.
Many areas of the National Curriculum would be covered in one visit:
History
Visit the Heritage area to see working steam engines and traditional country crafts and rural displays.
Geography
Identify the various breeds of livestock and their origins. Visit the food and drink area and see stands from a variety of different countries.
Music
Listen to the many varied bands playing throughout the Showground.
Science
Learn how to milk a cow, how crops are grown, why the environment is important.
Languages
Converse with the many foreign exhibitors in their own language.
English
The continuing success of the Kent County Show means that teachers and pupils can gain invaluable knowledge and experience in Agriculture and Horticulture.
PRICES
The special ticket rates for Schools in 2010 are:
Pupils £5.00
Teachers (1 issued free with every 10 pupil tickets purchased)
Extra Teachers ticket £15.00
