Organised by the Diocese of Canterbury, the Kent is Delicious cooking competition is open to all primary school aged children, including Scout and Brownie groups. Entrants can expect to produce their own dish made from as many locally sourced and produced ingredients as possible.  Learn about where food comes from, the importance of local produce and have fun along the way. Previous winners have made blueberry and lemon pancakes with strawberry sauce, rhubarb clafoutis, and cherry chunk ice cream.

Three finalists will be chosen to prepare their dishes in the demonstration kitchen at the Kent County Show on Friday 6 July. Prepare to tell your captive audience about how you developed your recipe, what you found out about local ingredients and the producers you met along the way.
