We have had a glorious first day at the Kent County Show, thank you to all our trade stands, volunteers, members and visitors that endured the traffic problems this morning, the accident on the M20 London bound caused delays for many people trying to get to the Showground. If you bought advance tickets and decided not to come up today, the good news is they are valid for any day.
We have been advised that tomorrow will be hot again and we ask that visitors make preparations for the glorious sunshine:
Wear Sun Screen and drink plenty of water. All our facilities on site have mains fed supplies and the water is absolutely fine to drink unless otherwise indicated. Take advantage of our covered areas and shady parts. We have a beautiful woodland that is a covered in shade and the perfect place to wander through out of the sun. We have provided covered seating near the main food court and have many marquees to take a break from the weather.
We welcome dogs on site but please prepare for your furry friend too. Bring a bowl and give them plenty of drinks, we have K9 Aqua sports on site and for a small charge your dog can hurl itself in to the pool. They have also put out smaller pools free of charge for your dog to cool down. Dogs are not allowed in the Livestock Marquee or Food Hall, please do not tie them up and leave them. Dogs Trust, Dogmobile are running a Dog Creche next to the area so please book your pet in there first.
Thank you to everyone who visited today and we can’t wait to say hi to tomorrows visitors.
