Kent County Show 2010 16th, 17th & 18th July

The Kent County Agricultural Society are keen to re-engage with the Farming & Horticultural sector and are planning extensive changes for the Show this year.combine and tractor

The ‘Why Farming Matters’ stand is historically formed in partnership between many agricultural and rural companies including the NFU, Hadlow College, CLA, RAMSAK, training groups, KCAS and others. For the last three years it has concentrated on different themes to highlight why farming is important to Kent and Britain as a whole. This stand will move opposite the Main Gate to encourage more visiots to learn about agriculture and rural issues.

Situated in the heart of the agricultural area will be the new Farmers’ hospitality marquee; where farmers will be welcome to relax and meet with friends and colleagues. Livestock exhibitors, judges, farmers and 300 invited guests will be able to use bar and catering facilities. Situated next to the agricultural judging rings this marquee will have a number of small agricultural information stands and provide a great networking opportunity.

Farmers’ Hospitality Marquee – A great option for networking with the farming community. A small information stand in this area will cost £100.00 + VAT. For more details please contact Lucy Hegarty on 01622 633052 or email lucy@kentshowground.co.uk

The Kent Young Farmers area will be extended for 2010 and will include a more prominently placed ring on the roadside to allow for expansion of this professional display of livestock and small animals that helps encourage young people aged 10 – 26 into the farming industry.
