The day started in sunshine and it has stayed all morning and in to the afternoon to give the mighty RAF Red Arrow Display team the perfect blue background to their scarlet insignia.  There is something very patriotic about watching some of our best pilots take to the air and fly in such close formation.  They represent the ‘Best of British’ and in many ways so does a County Show.  This year the Show is celebrating the wonderful county of Kent known as the Garden of England.

Despite a few weeks of problems on Kent roads, the Show has prevailed and visitors are up on last year, there are even more displays, activities and demonstartions and the livestock and equine competitions are simply wonderful.

Thank you to all the visitors who braved the road conditions and came to what is shaping up to be a wonderful Show.  It may be a great number of years before we are able to have a display as spectacular as the Red Arrows.

It is just a shame that visitors tomorrow and Sunday will miss them.
