Flower Show and Floral Art
Our Garden Life Marquee is 140m x 18m and hosts our flower displays and sales, the hanging basket competition, NAFAS floral art competition, Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies Summer Show, sundries stands and a miniature garden competition for schools. We also have the Gardening Questiontime Roadshow and a number of other demonstrations, a coffee shop and a plant crèche for those visitors wishing to leave bought items until later in the day.
The marquee will be enjoying a new location for 2018 next to the main entrance, encouraging a high footfall throughout the three days of the Show. We expect a high standard of displays and hope that you may be interested in providing a display or sales stand. Below are the options for involvement with the Kent County Show:
Hanging Basket and Decorative Pot Competition
Each entrant will be allocated an area 4’ square for the pot and facilities will be provided for hanging the basket above. This is a free competition to enter with a total prize fund of £150.
Exhibition Garden Displays
Spaces for exhibition gardens are free of charge. Space ranges from 3m x 3m to 9m x 9m and can be sited inside or outside the marquee. Gardens can include discrete advertising for your project, charity or college. Exhibition gardens will be judged and awarded financial prizes.
Floral Art Competition
All classes are open to affiliated members of NAFAS and classes include Novice, Open and Junior. The theme for 2018 is ‘Kent Our County.’
Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies Summer Show
There are a wide range of garden produce, home economics and craft classes, including flowers, fruit and vegetables. Entry forms are available from Sandra Foreman on 01732 844071 or email rich.KFHS@blueyonder.co.uk.
We are offering space within the Garden Life Marquee for sundries stands. These will be 6m x 3m in size and will be £150 + VAT for the three days. These stands can include any items that are directly related to garden maintenance, ornaments, water features, ornamental fencing, floral art design etc. For more information about these stands please contact the Show Office.
